öffentlichen Profile von 25 Mobbern, nutzte minderwertige Perücken und Prothesen, um
sich in diese Personen zu verwandeln und fügte ihre hasserfüllten Kommentare in diesen Rahmen ein. Den Trugschluss, dass das Internet ihre Identität und ihren Hass schützen würde, kann
Cafiero so aufbrechen und sie sind nicht mehr anonym.
The Bully Pulpit is Cafiero‘s response to the thousands of people who tried to cyberbully her over the past seven years. While developing a response to these
bullies, Cafiero knew
that anything she wrote to them would be deleted or fuel more of their hate. She realized that a photograph cannot be removed from the internet therefore she needed to respond
with a photograph. She found the public profiles of 25 of these bullies, costumed herself to look like them and inserted their hateful comment into the frame so her response could
never be deleted. Cafiero uses low quality wigs and prosthetics to mirror the fallacy that the internet will protect their identities and their hateful acts. They have weaponized the internet to
spread hate and it is her hope to show them that they are not anonymous.
